As part of Altrusa International’s mission statement includes fostering international understanding. At the local level, Altrusa International of Branch County has a committee that hosts an event or project to enhance international relations within our community. The 2013/2014 committee hosted a reception exchange students in the Branch County schools, their host parents, and Altrusa members at the Coldwater campus of Baker College for an evening of sharing, eating and fun. The twelve plus students brought some of their American families and told of their countries, American likes and experiences they will carry with them to their home countries. Countries represented were Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan Germany, Austria. Mexico, Sweden, Finland.
